Tunehome
Privacy
Tunehome is built around bring-your-own storage. The service stores software account data, not users' media files.
Data Tunehome stores
Tunehome stores account data, preferences, playlists, metadata, and encrypted source credentials where required. Tunehome does not store users' audio or video media files.
Metadata may include titles, artists, albums, durations, artwork references, playlist entries, play history, and source configuration needed to operate the software.
Media file handling
Users' audio and video files remain in local folders or personal cloud storage selected by the user. Tunehome does not receive or store plaintext media files as part of the normal product workflow.
Local processing features run on the user device where available. Personal cloud integrations are used to read the user-selected source and build the user library.
Credentials
When a source integration requires credentials or OAuth tokens, Tunehome stores the minimum required credential material in encrypted form where required to keep the connected source working.
Users can disconnect sources or cancel subscriptions without purchasing or uploading music content from Tunehome.
